PACES Application Process

How selection works

PACES is competitive. We select scholars based on:

Program commitment

  1. Apply online (in the form below): Applicants complete a brief online application form and upload a biosketch or CV. The form includes short prompts to describe:
    1. Who you are and your precision rehabilitation interests.
    2. What you hope to gain/achieve through PACES.
    3. At least one work-in-progress you would like to refine during the program. The work-in-progress can be at any stage, including very early concept.
    4. Applicants also affirm their ability to participate in monthly PACES seminars and to attend quarterly Precise Center public webinars (or view recordings if unable to attend live).
  2. Administrative review: We confirm eligibility, application completeness, and ability to meet the 12-month participation expectations (including pre-seminar prep and brief reflections).
  3. Faculty review: Each application is reviewed by two independent reviewers using a standardized rubric.
  4. Cohort balancing & final selection: Program leadership confirms the final cohort to ensure a strong multidisciplinary mix and equitable representation across rehab domains, populations, and research settings.
  5. Notification & onboarding: Selected scholars receive onboarding materials, seminar dates, program expectations (including prep/reflection), and instructions for accessing ad hoc consultations.
